Dude, Affirmative Action is shit. Why should people be given a preference just because of their race? I think it is bull shit that some say whites have more advantages, when in reality all minorities have to do is work hard in school like whites do. No, instead minorities want to act like their lives are shit and go sell drugs and be criminals, in some cases, yes they are in a bad situation but that doesn’t mean they can’t work and get out of it. Thats just goes along with college scholarships being based on race. Why I, a white lower-middle class guy, should be put out of the running for a scholarship, when say an upper class black who clearly doesn’t need the scholarship gets picked to get it. America is still obsessed that we should be sorry for slavery. Yes, i agree that slavery was an abomination and should have ended. BUT I do not believe that 300 some odd years later we should still be apologizing for it. I mean look at Europe. 6 MILLION Jews died and they moved on. I think America needs to do the same.

I’m a musician,not American, but this whole study seems to have racist undertones. Like “let’s put the black folk down even more! ” I think whether you score well on this SAT might be at least partly related to socio-economic status and educational opportunity rather than your listening habits. Eg; Jazz scores lowly on this survey yet is a high-end black American art form. Amongst musicians, whether they like it or not, it is regarded as one of the most difficult styles to successfully perform, combining deep cultural knowledge, incredible instrumental skill and amazing creativity; improvising, composing on the spot. Now, true purveyors of this art form would have to have some understanding of the intricacies of jazz, so how could you infer that they’re dumb? I’m guessing your SAT doesn’t test musical intelligence.
