Yesterday i download the ReactOs iso the size around 29mb only. The ReacOS interface same like windows

ReactOS® is an advanced free open source operating system providing a ground-up implementation of a Microsoft Windows® XP compatible operating system. ReactOS aims to achieve complete binary compatibility with both applications and device drivers meant for NT and XP operating systems, by using a similar architecture and providing a complete and equivalent public interface.

ReactOS is the most complete working model of a Windows® like operating system available. Consequently, working programmers will learn a great deal by studying ReactOS source codeReactOS development. and even participating in

ReactOS has and will continue to incorporating features from newer versions and sometimes even define the state of the art in operating system technology.

In short, ReactOS is aiming to run your applications and use your hardware, a free operating system for everyone!

Please bear in mind that ReactOS 0.3.3 is still in alpha stage, meaning it is not feature complete and is not recommended for everyday use. s

CentOS is a freely available Linux distribution which is based on Red Hat‘s commercial Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) product. This rebuild project strives to be 100% binary compatible with the upstream product and, within its mainline and updates, not to vary from that goal. Additional software archives hold later versions of such packages, along with other Free and Open Source Software RPM based packages. CentOS stands for Community ENTerprise Operating System.

Setup Fedora

minggu lepas pc aku buat hal… xtau ar apa pasal.. so aku terpaksa format balik win & fedora.. sblm ni pun fedora buat hal.. kernel panic lak.. aduh tension nyer aku… so aku decided to install balik vista & fedora core 7..

so aku follow ar petua Mr. Kane (Class System Admin) :
aku create custom layout partition

/boot = 500 mb
/swap = 1536 mb
/ = 20000 mb @ root

so aku pun install ar cam biasa n default kernel utk fedora core 7 ni version
* 2.6.20-2925.9.fc7xen
* 2.6.21-1.3194.fc7

so aku plan nak update jer pasni semua .. biler dah abis installation aku update ar fedora ni.. mak aih ader 256 update available.. so aku biarkan jer dia update sendiri… So biler dah abis update aku kena ar configure balik Squid sbb aku x terror lagi guna benda ni.. pastu nak update database blacklist .

Sbb pc aku ni DualBoot using GRUB.. so aku mount semua partition ntfs aku kat dalam fedora ni senang jer aku buat…. cam ni:

1. kena install fuse fuse-libs ntfs-3g dalam DVD fedora 7 dah ader dah…

so install ar sbb aku dah login as root just type

[root@localhost ~]# install fuse fuse-libs ntfs-3g

(make sure korang tau kat maner installer dia ni @ rpm)

2. check ar partition yg ada

Cheking Partition
[root@localhost ~]# /sbin/fdisk -lu /dev/sda | grep NTFS
[root@localhost ~]# /sbin/fdisk -lu /dev/sda | grep NTFS
/dev/sda1 * 2048 30722047 15360000 7 HPFS/NTFS
/dev/sda2 30722048 92162047 30720000 7 HPFS/NTFS
/dev/sda3 92162048 143362047 25600000 7 HPFS/NTFS
/dev/sda5 143364096 163844095 10240000 7 HPFS/NTFS
/dev/sda6 163846144 184326143 10240000 7 HPFS/NTFS
/dev/sda7 184328192 215048191 15360000 7 HPFS/NTFS
/dev/sda8 215050240 256010239 20480000 7 HPFS/NTFS
/dev/sda9 256012288 337932287 40960000 7 HPFS/NTFS
/dev/sda10 384114688 488394751 52140032 7 HPFS/NTFS

create directory for this partition dalam media :

Create Directory
[root@localhost ~]# cd /media
[root@localhost ~]# mkdir c d e f g h i j k (sbb aku ader 9 partition ntfs)

4. mount la partition tu

[root@localhost ~]# mount /dev/sda1 /media/c -t ntfs-3g -r -o umask=0222 (read only)

[root@localhost ~]# mount /dev/sda1 /media/c -t ntfs-3g -rw -o umask=0000 (read/write)

5. so mount ar dari sda1 sampe sda10.. kalau korang nak read/write kat dalam partition ntfs tu guna command yg kedua tu k. so lepas tu korang boleh ar check kat /media/c mesti dah ader aper yg korang mount tadi..

* mount ni temporary jer.. lepas korang restart dia akan hilang… so korang kena edit kat fstab.. guna ar aper2 editor yg korang suka… nak guna vi,gedit pun ok gak:

[root@localhost ~]# gedit /etc/fstab

so biler kat line bawah sekali korang paste la ni

/dev/sda1 /media/c ntfs-3g rw,defaults,umask=0000 0 0
/dev/sda10 /media/k ntfs-3g rw,defaults,umask=0000 0 0
/dev/sda3 /media/e ntfs-3g rw,defaults,umask=0000 0 0
/dev/sda2 /media/d ntfs-3g rw,defaults,umask=0000 0 0
/dev/sda5 /media/f ntfs-3g rw,defaults,umask=0000 0 0
/dev/sda6 /media/g ntfs-3g rw,defaults,umask=0000 0 0
/dev/sda7 /media/i ntfs-3g rw,defaults,umask=0000 0 0
/dev/sda8 /media/j ntfs-3g rw,defaults,umask=0000 0 0
/dev/sda9 /media/h ntfs-3g rw,defaults,umask=0000 0 0

dah abis edit.. pastu jgn lupa save k:
then reboot.. mesti partition ni automount..
